About Us
The National Association for the Education of Young Children
The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is a professional membership organization that works to promote high-quality early learning for all young children, birth through age 8, by connecting early childhood practice, policy, and research. We advance a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and support all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children. The association comprises nearly 70,000 individual members of the early childhood community and more than 300 regional Affiliate chapters, all committed to delivering on the promise of high-quality early learning. Together, we work to achieve a collective vision: that all young children thrive and learn in a society dedicated to ensuring they reach their full potential.
Klamath Chapter of ORAEYC
We are an affiliated Chapter of the Oregon Association for the Education of Young Children, professional organizations which work to advance high-quality early learning experiences for young children. This is done through providing educational resources and training for those that work with young children as well as identifying best practice, policy and research as they relate to the care and education of young children. Our local chapter provides professional development opportunities for local early childhood professionals in partnership with Klamath Community College through our annual Early Childhood Education Conference held each November. In April, during the "Week of the Young Child", we organize and sponsor a Children's Learning Fair in partnership with the Klamath Falls YMCA, local schools, and community agencies.
